Our Team
We’re Karen & Phoebe: two counsellors who share a deep commitment to working with young people, families, and schools to build stronger connections and healthier relationships. We understand the challenges young people and families are facing today, and we’re committed to offering practical strategies and compassionate support that truly make a difference.
We love working together and tend to approach our work as a team. We are aligned in our values and we’re both passionate about helping people understand themselves and their relationships more deeply, and about empowering them to make bold, meaningful changes that lead to lasting growth.
Karen
Karen brings over 20 years of experience in education (Pre-prep to Year 12) as a School Guidance Counsellor and Registered Teacher. She has a special interest in youth mental health, career development, and helping young people navigate study choices, transitions, and pathways toward meaningful futures.
Known for her calm and grounded presence, Karen has a gift for helping students and families feel at ease as she’ll use warmth and gentle humour to build trust and connection quickly.
She combines deep knowledge with genuine care, guiding young people to understand themselves, explore their options, and make choices that feel both realistic and fulfilling.
Karen’s thoughtful approach supports students and families to feel confident about their next steps, whether that’s managing school life, planning for the future, or simply finding their footing during times of change.
Phoebe
Phoebe is a Social Worker and School Counsellor with five years of experience supporting children, teenagers, and young adults in the mental health space. She believes every young person deserves to feel seen, heard, and truly understood, and she’s passionate about creating spaces where that can happen.
Phoebe’s sessions are warm, playful, and deeply person-centred and she has a natural ability to build trust and connection quickly. Young people tend to open up to her fast, often saying she’s the first person who really gets them. That sense of being understood becomes the foundation for self-awareness, confidence, and lasting change.
Whether she’s helping a child make sense of big feelings, guiding a teen through a tricky time, or supporting a young adult to find their voice, Phoebe’s engaged and compassionate presence helps people feel safe enough to explore what’s going on inside.
